To be honest, I’m not sure where to begin describing my experience with Nikolaus Photography. I don’t believe the praise I have to give will truly to justice to what Taylor was able to add not only to our wedding day, but the memories that we will cherish in these photographs for a lifetime. Taylor was organized, prompt, and professional from the start. She responded to my emails always within 24 hours. She took me to coffee, not only to hear what I wanted from our wedding day (which every bride appreciates…) but also to get to know Sean and I. She was legitimately interested in our history, how we met, our likes, our dislikes. She truly cared about who we were as a couple…and believe me, it shows in her work. My husband is a Marine, and we had not seen each other in nearly 2 months before those chapel doors opened. Taylor captured every glance, every smile, and the look on both my husbands and mine faces as we saw each other for the first time.
As a photographer she made our comfort her first priority, she kept saying “this is your guys’ day!” She helped us research locations to shoot our photos, she organized our friends and family after the ceremony, taking all the stress off our shoulders. My husband and I loved everything about our wedding day, but we both agree, the most romantic part of becoming husband and wife that day was being able to escape the crowd and have such an intimate, personalized photo session with Nikolaus photography. I would love to tell you a little about my experience with Taylor as my wedding photographer! First of all, I was especially impressed with her cheerful attitude and bold spirit. She definitely takes initiative and works very hard to get the best shots for you, but she is equally aware of your comfort and personal thoughts. Therefore, I would say that she is without a doubt comfortable to work around!
Secondly, I really appreciated how Taylor makes quick and professional decisions on the spot to capture the most beautiful action shots (at one point she even ran to the back of the room to grasp the perfect shot of my husband and I skipping down the aisle, which turned out amazing!) Taylor is always aware of her surroundings and miraculously captures it all at once! What’s even better is that she obviously genuinely enjoys capturing the love and joy on your wedding day AND shares in the excitement with you. This enables her to put herself in your shoes and really focus on what matters most to you: phenomenal memories captured in photography and a stress-free and fun time capturing them. She really makes the entire experience one of your favorite memories!
I have recently spoken with my bridesmaids as well as Mike’s groomsmen and they ALL brought up how impressed they were with Taylor’s working style and creative ideas. She makes it all about what YOU want on your wedding day, but is ready to provide innovative shots and poses for you if you need inspiration. (We had an absolute blast taking pictures all together!) I am very, very satisfied with the end product, as is everyone who has also seen it and I would highly recommend choosing Taylor as your wedding photographer.

From the moment I first talked to Taylor about photographing our wedding I was confident that she would do a great job because she asked lots of questions, visited the wedding site and her previous work was great!
All of my wedding guests were comfortable around Taylor, and my husband and I have pictures of everything from our wedding; from the bows on the chairs to dancing in the barn. Taylor pretty much spent the entire day with us and now we have amazing photo memories of it. The turn-around time of getting all the photos were as promised; two weeks later; which is faster than any other photographer I’ve heard of. I was very impressed with Taylor’s work and I would highly recommend her.
